Ownership of images and films

All photographs, films and other content on this website, including downloadable files, are the property of Cinemotions Films – Luca Cristofari and are protected by copyright. Except as permitted by the copyright law that applies to you, no image or film may be reproduced, distributed, published or adapted without the prior written permission of the copyright owner and, where required, the purchase of a commercial license.

Personal and commercial use

Any use that benefits a business is commercial use: on a company website, in a brochure or catalog, in advertising or in a magazine. If an image is not meant to hang on your wall at home, its intended use is most likely commercial, and it requires a license agreed in writing before the image is used.

Italian copyright law

In Italy, copyright is governed by Law No. 633 of April 22, 1941 (the Italian Copyright Law). It grants authors the exclusive right to authorize or prohibit the reproduction, distribution, communication to the public and adaptation of their original works, including photographs and films. Protection arises automatically when a work is created and, as a rule, lasts for 70 years after the author’s death. The law also provides limited exceptions, for example for teaching, research, criticism and review.

Limitation of liability

In the unlikely event of a total technical failure, or if the service cannot be performed because the photographer or videographer suffers a serious illness or injury, in either case for reasons beyond the control of Cinemotions Films, our liability is limited to a full refund of all amounts paid. This does not affect the couple’s statutory rights.

Publication of images

Unless otherwise agreed in the contract, Cinemotions Films may publish a selection of photographs and film excerpts from your wedding on its website, journal and social media, and share them with leading wedding publications and blogs worldwide. We always use them with care and respect for the couple’s image. Personal data are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy; the data controller is Cinemotions Films.
