On the Amalfi Coast everything happens on a slope. Villas hang from the cliffs, lemon terraces drop toward the water and every village seems to be built on top of the next one. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world to get married, and for an Amalfi Coast wedding photographer one of the most demanding: the light is strong, the distances are short but slow, and the best spots are often a staircase away.
Cinemotions Films is a luxury wedding photography and film studio founded by Luca Cristofari. We photograph and film weddings in Ravello, Positano and along the whole coast for couples from all over the world. We accept a limited number of weddings each year, and the founder is personally present at every celebration. Our work has been featured in ELLE and Vogue España.

An Amalfi Coast wedding photographer who knows the light
Photography comes first in everything we do. Natural, elegant images, with very little posing: getting ready in a room that opens onto the sea, the ceremony on a terrace above the water, portraits in the gardens when the sun finally drops behind the mountains. On the coast, timing is everything, and we build the day around the hours when the light is kind.

Cinematic wedding films on the Amalfi Coast
Our films are built like short pieces of cinema, with sound, rhythm and the voices of the people you love. From above, the coast shows its real shape, villas and gardens clinging to the rock, and we plan aerial images wherever the rules allow. Many couples choose photography and film together, so that one team tells the whole story with a single signature.

Ravello, Positano and the villas of the coast
We filmed a wedding at La Rondinaia, Gore Vidal’s former villa on the cliffs below Ravello, and we are happy to work anywhere on the coast: Villa Cimbrone and the Belmond Hotel Caruso in Ravello, the hotels of Positano, Amalfi and Praiano, and the private villas in between. Each one asks for a different plan, from porters carrying the equipment up the steps to boats waiting below the cliffs.
A few honest notes: Naples airport is about an hour and a half away by car, the coastal road is narrow and slow in summer, and the center of Ravello is pedestrian. A good planner turns all of this into part of the charm. For more, read our guide to Amalfi Coast wedding venues.

A few answers for couples planning a wedding on the Amalfi Coast.
Do you photograph weddings in Ravello, Positano and Amalfi?
Yes. We travel to the Amalfi Coast for every wedding, from Ravello and Positano to Amalfi, Praiano and Capri, and we work anywhere in Italy and Europe.
Can you cover the whole wedding weekend on the coast?
Of course. Most Amalfi Coast weddings start with a welcome evening and end with a boat day or a farewell lunch. We can tell the whole weekend, with photography, film or both.
What is the best time of day for a ceremony on the Amalfi Coast?
In summer the light is strong and bounces off the sea, so we usually suggest a ceremony in the late afternoon, about an hour and a half before sunset. It is kinder to faces, guests and photographs.
Can you fly a drone in Ravello or Positano?
Often yes, with the proper authorizations, but some areas of the coast are restricted. We check every location in advance and plan the flights together with your planner.
