On the western shore of Lake Como, in Cernobbio, Villa Erba rises among century-old gardens that slope gently towards the water. For Renee & Tino’s wedding, the villa became the set of a film: a day of rare elegance, from the first look to the fireworks over the lake.

Villa Erba: a villa with a cinematic soul
It was here that the director Luchino Visconti spent part of his childhood, and the villa has since appeared on the big screen. A classic wooden boat across the lake, a ceremony beneath an arch of white roses, a dinner under Murano chandeliers and a candlelit red staircase: every scene seemed written for the camera.
The film
