LAKE COMO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – VILLA ERBA

INTRODUCTION

On the western shore of Lake Como, in Cernobbio, Villa Erba rises among century-old plane trees and gardens that slope gently towards the water. In June, we had the privilege of photographing Renee & Tino’s wedding there, a celebration of rare elegance: a celebration in which the lake, the light and the architecture of a nineteenth-century villa became part of every image.

VILLA ERBA: A VILLA WITH A CINEMATIC SOUL

Built at the end of the nineteenth century for Luigi Erba, Villa Erba is one of the most prestigious wedding venues on Lake Como. It was here that the film director Luchino Visconti spent part of his childhood, and the villa later appeared on the big screen in Ocean’s Twelve. For a studio called Cinemotions, it is impossible not to feel at home: every room, every terrace and every view over the lake seems composed for a film.

THE DAY: IN THE LIGHT OF LAKE COMO

From the quiet moments of the preparations to the ceremony, the dinner and the last dance, the day unfolded with the natural grace that only Lake Como can offer. We photographed it in our documentary and editorial style, discreet and attentive, letting the beauty of the setting frame the emotions of the couple and their guests.

THE PLANNING: A BESPOKE EVENT BY EUROPE WEDDING

This celebration was designed and coordinated by Europe Wedding, with breathtaking floral design by Ratti Flora. Every arrangement, every table and every detail was conceived in harmony with the villa and the lake, creating a setting of quiet luxury that was a joy to photograph. Working side by side with the planners, we built a timeline around the most beautiful light of the day.

Lake Como is one of the most sought-after destinations in the world for a luxury wedding, and one of the most beautiful to photograph: soft reflections on the water, gardens in bloom, villas suspended between the mountains and the lake.
